Project – BHASVIC – New Teaching Block

This project consisted of a new teaching facility with classrooms and restaurant area, including Kitchens. The project faced many electrical challenges including a complete new incoming supply to the existing part on the school that now feeds the new block and the existing campus.

Load monitoring was carried out over a period of time to establish the usage of power on the existing system, where we were able to identify the spare capacity for the new building. There was limited capacity available, so the only option was to upgrade the electrical supply to the building.

The building required some specialist low energy light fittings that were challenging to design and position, as the concrete ceilings have been designed to be exposed. N.Smith Electrical managed to incorporate the lighting design seamlessly throughout the building taking into account the exposed nature of fixings and cable runs.

A PV System array had to be designed and installed to the roof of the college.

This project was another example how well N.Smith Electrical and Amiri Construction work in harmony to create a complete, finished project to exacting standards.
